Beryl does look nice though, although I'm not too sure whether it would be too complicated to use for every day stuff though to be honest.
Vista, XP and common or garden Linux desktops maybe don't look quite so cool, but atleast they are straight forward and easy to use.

I guess the user spends a lot of time playing with the interface and not actually achiveing anything. I may try it when I get bored or steam (css) gets shut down. I remember a desktop replace ment once that put the control panel and apps on the wall of a room like a game but It was REALLY bad. I think that came out with 3DFX but can't suite remember.
Maybe its good for showing off to non tech mates though. I dunno.

That does look fun, but I'd have to try it to see what sort of performance impact it has...and whether its actually better than alt-tab...or a 2d desktop management system...

All I can say is, have a go with "safari" and then tell me macs are simpler.
