Great read. I think the 3dfx really did push 3D into the consumer space. I'm surprised there was no mention of Matrox though, although they were for the pro side of Pc's they did have a part to play in the late 90's.

Scarey how many of those cards I owned. I wanna get a vista driver for my 3dfx card so I can play POD again.
