Completely useless page of statistics. Whilst it shows vista is better than XP in that less have been disclosed, it still shows the majority of its disclosed bugs as unfixed.

Compare that to the linux options. Also compare the amount of time it generally takes for a fix to come out on a linux product with the time it takes for windows (patch tuesday anyone?)

Again, that is pure FUD.
Any linux box will be compromised, if the user is stupid.

anyone who believes that vista will end spyware, viruii, worms etc is mad.

in time everturally every windows machine will be vista, and they will contain billions of pounds worth of info. and some one will make it their life mission to steal it all.... and in time they will.

yes in the first 12months there maybe very few vista security leaks, but that is beacuse no one wants/needs to hack it yet, there isnt the money or info worth stealling.

till your next door neighbour has his credit card details on a vista machine then vista will be safe (as in there will be no serious attacks). as soon as its worth the effort then it will be done.

that doesn't mean they aren't misleading.

I could say "People bought x times as many IBM clones as BBC electrons in the last year" - sure the numbers are right, but they mean naff all! You can believe what you see in a graph, but it don't mean shit usually. Start reading any UK national newspaper and you'll see what I mean.

lies, damn lies and statisics.

I'm sure people will be finding more vunerabilities in Viista soon, as/ if it gets taken up more there be more reasons to crack it.

take ur head out of bills arse and read it again - spelt worng mind you :)

im not disputing the % at all - everyone i know who tried vista was back on xp after 1 hour

i know zero people one that uses it for server - infact you`d be stupid to with 2003 / xp code have matured

im all for progress but it isnt ready yet

the holes will be found soon and then the flood gates will open

there will be loads of spyware and virus`s that guest users can cripple the system with in a year

i love Vista, better than every other OS except Linux :) . It is from a user point of view far better, and they say the same thing about every MS OS yet 95 % of PCs use MS OS's. Just incase u dont like crappy OS 10 or are not a fan of Vista theres always Linux.
