...I guess that doesn't impress you much. But i got a mate who knows very little about computers and he will be baffled at mention of what i did. lol. And, as a result of fixixing what i thought was going to be a massive satastrphe lasting days/weeks, i have managed to reaquaint myself with the internet.


or was it Vista rhet? I don't think i could have done that with my old XP. Vista just kind of plotted it for me.

Xp does that too. Though I have probably the same problem with my vista hence using XP for the duration so far. I have seen a vista compatable pice x1 intel network card though so might go for that instead

vista has plotted many things with my network cards, most of them bad and infuriating.
