Post subject: | Internet transactions |
Ok so have a ecommerce shop, and it seems a lot of our transactions are timing out. During the process there is information exchanged between the e-shop and the payment gateway. (If more detail is needed let me know), but during this process it seems to hang. I have a feeling its why we are not getting any ssales on our website apart from 1 or 2, is there anyway I can trace what happens in these transactions...with the handshakes that fgo on between the servers? I have asked my host if they have any logs of these transactions but their support is not very good to say the least, so I am trying to work out what I can do, any suggetsions? |

get rid of 1 and 1 1st second - you`d need a root shell account on the webserver to prove out really with tcpdump / mtr / curl etc i think |

hehe, work used 1 and 1, had serious issues trying to get them to understand that i was attempting to use url rewriting rules in apache... I think it ended with "you must make it a html file" - i nearly cried. Took half an hour, 2 different people, and repeatedly explaining what i was trying to do with examples to get that gem of information |

Spent a good hour last night describing the authentication process between eshop and protx, at the end of which the answer was ummm we dont log that stuff for you. Your a major isp and you dont have any records of incoming traffic? No but our network guys report everything is fine. How can they tell if they have no way of logging traffic then? Umm |

Have you tried asking Protx - there are quite a few posts on their support forum about delays processing, and general problems with Protx. Our ecommerce site at work will be linked to Protx for the shopping cart - hopefully all will be well |
