3.5 hours, and the charger is the size of a mobile phone charger... not a chore to carry about. Also, bus is a two way affair. 2 hours to uni (where plugs are available) and 2 hours back.
So not really

BT website and misco is selling them : / no massive release till after xmas in the uk, seem to be testing the water a bit, rele fancy getting one of these and either whacking in a larger ssd or buying a big external. I think they are a really good idea. Certainly filling a gap in the market. Hard to say if I need one but I would like one.

I guess it comes down to the linux issue, again I dont know much about it, but if it didnt you could put your preferred version on. Or XP etc. The PDA type screen you may have seen in the screen shots is ASUS' distro, to make it easier to use out of the box. You can switch it into 'advanced' mode easily enough.
