Lo, that time of year, so ordered the parts for my new game rig
mobo Foxconn BlackOps Intel X48 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
with 3 pci express 16 slots

Cpu Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme Edition QX9775 "LGA771 Yorkfield" 3.20GHz (1600FSB)

vid HIS ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB GDDR5 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express)
1 at first with mabey 1 or 2 more to be added later

Memory OCZ 2GB DDR3 PC3-16000C9 2000MHz (again 2 more gigs to be added later)

Hopefully this will be able to run bf42.
Also means that i will have 2 spare 8800gtx's to give away to someone needy(plently on gchq)

Got any other stuff going spare? Graphics card in mine is ok, just would like some more DDR2 ram and I'm broke at the moment :(
And anything up from an E6600 would be nice :P

I'd be more than happy with just the memory thanks mate, don't want to be greedy as the rest of my gear is "up to the job" as it were and I'd rather see other people get up to spec so they can't whine about not being able to run COD4 :P

Cheers mate

i'll check with mac to see if he wants both vid cards or 1.

Well if the other mobo is any better than mine and nobody wants it, it would be welcome lol
Got an Asus P5N-E SLI 650i Socket 775 Onboard Audio ATX at the moment, much of an improvement? Is it even worthwhile? I'm a bit thick with stuff like that
