punkbuster A set to manual because its annoying :thumbl: it should only work when you are playing the game

and yeah post a screenshot of the full task manager window, lets see if we can make your pc more responsive (than it actually is?)

Um, would like to call the PB myth busted ;)
So I set BOTH PB A and PB B to manual. Stopped the services for good measure.
Started CoD4 to the title screen (the first screen you see when you local CoD4) and then quit.
BOTH remained active in the process list after CoD4 quit. The services have stopped but the apps (PnkBstrA & B) remain. Any ideas on that front (not that they're using many resources)

If I could attach a text file, that would be a MUCH MORE elegant solution to this issue but alas, cannot. So, 'ave it:

UPDATE: Still on the plugin memory leak hunt :rambo:

UPDATE: Um, we have a problem

I've enabled ALL my plugins and it peaks at about 175Mb but is now sustaining a baseline of about 125Mb. MUCH better than 1.4Gb

It could have been 3.04 update but can't be sure. I'll post if that changes.

Shame no comparisons can really be made with chrome seeing as half the crap you have enabled in FF aren't yet available for chrome.
Although that said and done, can't say that lack of ogame plugins have affected my life so far

Would be interesting to see if Googles flagship compared though.

FF ALREADY uses a version of Chrome anyways. So, what's the difference?

Me not being a boffin figured there was a difference with all the comments being about Firefox and it's addons and memory leaks, which as far as I am aware are non-existent on chrome. So, what's not the difference?
Hate to sound dumb, but made a fairly reasonable comment, pull it apart if you really must do, but atleast explain why.

The question wasn't long enough, sorry. My question is: If FF uses a version of Chrome, WHY use Google's Chrome?
But in the interests of fair play and experimentation, I'll use Google's Chrome. :thumbl: New thread started because of it. :thumbl:

To clear up in here too - FF doens't use Chrome, but it has a chrome, chrome being the jargon-of-the-day for a GUI.
