DS is boring, nothing amazing for it PSP has got variety and is worth the money. :D Battery life isnt all that bad for them either really.

I think the PSP is a better all round machine, can you watch your home TV anywhere in the world via wifi on the DS???
can you use it as a remote control for your TV???
can you download retro games of teh interweb for DS???
The PSP = PS2 grafx in the palm of your hand
The DS = N64 grafx in the palm of your hand

PSP > DS

PSP ftw !

Mine is hacked with the latest firmware and plays my downloaded PSP games as well as me converting my fav films like , Fifth Element, 300, Transformers and etc...

Sorry but can DS do that ? i think not :P :P

Oh yea i forgot to mention also.... my hacked firmware allows me to play my CLASSIC PS1 games also
Final Fantasy games including Final Fantasy Tactics (my best ever game) And UFO: Enemy Unknown, Bomberman, Crash Bandicoot & Crash Team Racing (1 of best racing games around) Not to mention Destruction Derby.
Ok i could go on and i think i made my point...

By that logic a PSP is better than my PC
it's not a remote, i can't carry it around and watch TV.
guess what i dont care

it's for playing games, not for controlling my TV, my washing machine or surviving 3 weeks on a desert island.

too much emphasis on graphics these days aswell.

game reviewers same thing....then they got their hands on it at E3 and changed their mind.

Apparently it's far more comfortable to hold, and a lot lighter than you'd think.

i thought the hardware was unchanged? other than video output....

consoles aren't like computers, you can just change the specs - the point is you write a game to run optimally on only one specific bit of hardware, if you have to write for two you end up with all sorts of problems....thats why macs work so well, because the developers know pretty much exactly what hardware they're dealing with....

The PSP has a 333Mhz processor, until now it was locked to 222Mhz and the lighter version will be allowed to run to its complete potential. Basically will run older game faster and will allow for newer games to be more adventurous. the RAM increase will just cut down on loading times rly

So it isnt much of a change in actual hardware just using the current spec a bit more efficiently

That would be nice, Burnout has those times where it lags a bit. Although it's rare it's noticeable.

you can't just stick more ram in and make things work faster, it doesn't work like that when you write programs to work on one hardware spec and one hardware spec only....likewise clock speed

thats why old PCs have turbo buttons
