black and white makes it cooler!!!!

Without clerks there would be no independant movie scene in the US as we know it

He shot it in b&w cos thats all he could afford at the time, and also while making the film kevin smith actually worked at Quick stop and the reason they came up with the gum in the locks thing was because he got the owner permission to shoot in the shop but only at night so they had to have a reason for the shutters to be down :lol:
