Went to the shop, they had 5 in stock that would have been good for the job. Asked the guy to make sure that I had everything I needed to make them work. He then set about working out which batteries, hooked them up in a battery holder, and then tried the first LED. It blew, so he tried another one, that blew aswell, then just for good measure he tried the third one, which...yes....blew. So now they only had 2 in stock, which was no good to me, all because he'd misread the voltage and was trying to put 3 times the max through them lol. End result? Still no fecking LED's

Ok, this has been some time coming, but I'm finally damned near completion with my Free Track. This is my test mule, bet you can't guess what I made it out of Now since that one, I've pinched a golf cap off my dad, and bunged some wire coathanger on it. So I present to you, FREETRACKCAPMk2!! Not got it properly set up yet, still a little jerky about the place and I've not messed with the settings. But here is a quick sample of what I can now do in Insurgency mod........ Those times where you find yourself moving closer to the screen to see what is going on? It actually does something!!!! Total cost of build? £2 including batteries (parts include a ps2 eyetoy, nabbed of the missus' sister, led's nabbed from old tv remotes and a cap off my dad;))
