yeah i got an email from stage 6 today telling me it was closing down. pretty much said it was costing too much money to run and they couldn't keep it going. |

They where threatened with court action a while back. This has stopped them from spinning it out to someone else, which was their aim, as no one wants to touch it now. They tried to do what youtube, google and isps do and use the safe harbour clause thing but the heavies where having none of it. |

veoh used to be flv files but has seen the error of its ways and is now using avi instead, so should be a good alternative. you need the veoh player though. |

http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php?showtopic=72885 for divX movies using the divx webplayer exactly like stage6, so same quality. works well, just flick through thread to find out how to bypass the 10click thing. |
