Download limitations Users are given 6 months from the time of purchase to download a game. This period can be extended to two years, via the Extended Download Service, by paying a $6 US fee.[5] This is unlike most other digital distribution platforms which allow users to re-download their purchases in the future without limitations. There currently is no option for you to make a personal backup of the downloaded software. This means after six months that if you need to reinstall the software/game that you must repay the full price http://ea-download-manager.software.informer.com/wiki/ http://www.megagames.com/news/html/cons ... ames.shtml |

You see.....I feel even more dirty now for crawling back to EA...... Although they gave Gamecommunity free Beta keys, so they're actually awfully nice chaps, and jolly good sports! |

Yay for having a disk sat in a case! Still never understand downloads, £24.99 for limited edition, in a nice shiny box. £34.99 to have to use your own bandwidth at a speed dictated by them (last download i did from steam was only 7GB and took several days at a few kb/s) and BFBC2 is going to be a mother of a download, GLWT! |

Do we still have to have a disk in t'drive while all the techno geeks dont have to? Or do they have to put in an old AOL disk to make it work....? |

LOL Leave steam outta this! , Steam still keeps my games from years and years ago up to date ready for me to play, dosn't charge me a penny, I'd much rarther have this then having to keep all my cd's and cd keys safe, Also you can backup all the games I have in one easy file ready to be automatically installed when I format my PC, just one click and every game is installed and updated. |
