noticed you guys gunna be putting a bc2 server up? how you doing that? EA are only suppling the server codes to their own supported servers.
presuming your renting?

Any idea on the level of customizations you can run?
Can you leave the minimap on while in HC mode?
Can you set certain things to have crosshairs while in HC mode?
Can you password it?
Can you change tank spawn rates etc?
or is it just bare essentials like player count, map cycle HC or not.

We havent been given specifics yet but since its our server, we can always password it or run it unranked for fun nites i believe with pretty much what ever settings we want.
however when you run a ranked server especialy in hardcore mode, then you will be limited as ranked servers should be similer or it give people an unfair advantage.
as i understand it. no crosshairs or minimap in hardcore. and i cant say about vehicle respawns yet. you will just have to wait a few more days to see

there are 3 admin user interfaces that we can use at present..... all with the same functions...
you have 2 modes.... stock and hardcore.....
Hardcore is what it should run on..but thats not upto me.... as stock is shite with its killcam and crosshairs..... ( although you can run hardcore with individual settings..ie...hud and crosshair..... crosshair only..... but to me...thats crap as well.)
to remain ranked..it must be a public server.... but....... you can kick and ban as always..and also kick for gchq members....

Aye Hardcore is the best, but I much prefer having a mini map, I wish the mini map was only present when a UAV was out though, prefer it without crosshairs expect the UAV needs one.
The main reason I want a mini map is too see my downed team mates and spotted tanks. I'd play on hardcore server without any of those any day as opposed to normal server though.

I'm not sure i like the minimap, i do tend to use camoflage perk on waw, but honestly, how many times have you been killed while looking at the damn thing

Hope they mod Cross hairs into the fixed guns etc.....its just odd firing out of a window in random directions......

That would be good, also for the anti air tank guns etc when zoomed in it would help. What would also be nice if they added... first person spectating, some way to remove the options screen when watching a squad mate and some sort of demo recording... purely for movie making of course! Apart from that, hardcore mode as it is seems pretty damn good.  _________________

I used to use the map on COD4 a heck of a lot, once you had UAV up it was amazingly useful, could just spin and shoot people.
Think more than one occasion Rusty thought I was hacking, just cos I'd just quickly spin round and blam him.
But yeah, was always one eye on that, the other where I was going, not having it does make it a bit better in that respect I guess.
