BF2 was good apart from the dolphin diving being a complete turn off, 1 of the major strongpoints lack of prone had to me....and prone is back?

back by popular demand...

dolphin diving would be made quite easily imposible by a delay added in the crouch/prone timings..

aye, dolphin diving was fixed in later patches as far as i remember

also, battlefield 3 will apparantly feature large cities like new york, paris, ... :thumbl:

After playing BF2 in it's final patched form, I believe they still hadn't fixed it and the game itself was damned near unplayable because of it.

It was just horrid. Started off as a good game, bit of teamwork, then gradually turned to shit.

Your RL crouch/prone delay timing is measured in minutes PAL!

-Vehicle/Infantry balance is a focus for me, it will be awesome this time.
-No plans for ziplines or grapple hooks no.
-Yes, prone is on all platforms.
-BF3 will be deeper than BF2. That said we've paid a lot of attention to keeping depth while pacing the learning curve.
-BF3 is the sequel to BF2. It's not BC3.
-Friendly Fire will be an option, yes.
-No comment on commander.
-Yes, there is bullet drop. Doesn't work the same as BC2 though, it's a much deeper system.
-No, no tracer darts. That's a bit too BC and not enough BF.
-No, I won't confirm any vehicles from the teaser.
-One of the cities is Tehran... Yes, yes there will be sand.

I'm currently thinking 24 players is all you want .......64 would be too chaotic........so i'm happy with the ps3 version as it means it wont be a case of getting pissed off for dieing every second or having your favourite vehicle nicked.
