In February it was announced that if you pre-order Battlefield 3 you will get the "Back To Karkand" expansion pack at no extra charge. The Back to Karkand expansion pack will include four legendary maps, vehicles, and weapons from Battlefield 2. These maps include Wake Island, Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, and Sharqi Peninsula. No details relating to what vehicles or weapons will be ported to Battlefield 3. There's a possibility we might get to see the G36E, as this was a very popular infantry weapon (I remember my medic days of BF2 Razz.) These maps have a combined play time of 25,000 years, and it's still growing!
