er, dont. its months till release and prices drop. so wait. but an i5 2500 with an nvidia 570 should do nicely and good value. but it will depend as you would need a new mobo, ram and possibly a psu. but should be able to get it all for 600 to 700. but thats at current prices. if you keep your current mobo, then it should be a fair bit less |

If you pay for high end your going to pay a premium. Make sure you have around 8gb of ram and 64bit OS. |

what's going on with the PC market right now then? Can I suggest we create a thread dedicated to PC builds for the release of Bf3? I am wanting to buy or build a new pc either immediately prior to the game's release or immediately after...'whenever the right time to buy is'.... i.e if there is a next gen video card or processor coming out very soon.... which will make everything obsolete.... let me know and I'll hold out i'm very out of touch with pc technology these days but from what I can gather...it looks like... I can spend about £700 to play bf3 maxed out....would be prepared go up to about £1000 but that would be really pushing it... would have to be really worth it.... I don't need a monitor.(got 1) or speakers (will have headset) ..but I do need a new everything else....on that note though....my monitor only supports 1080p - is this going to be a major set back in terms of visual performance or is anything above that barely noticeable? Do not want gay looking pc full of LED'S...just raw performance and quiet / silence..preferably... has something replaced these SATA hard drives these days... like SD?? how much ram do we need ... i hear people saying get 8gb these days....i've seen builds with 16GB but everyone comments that this is overkill.. PSU ??? i've seen some extreme wattages of like 1500 watts..sounds pretty insane to me....what's needed ?? what to look for in graphics cards? Nvidia apparently have faster load times in previous bf games than ATI? what to look for in processors? Is it unecomical to buy off the shelf leet pc's still? i.e. would it be very uneconomical to buy an alienware off the shelf pc to save hassle of building my own? |

Ive got an i7930 @ 3.8 i think,6gb tripple channel ram and a gtx580 and my psu is a 750w corsair,it not even the top end corsair (hx i think) and i could easily run sli 580's. You wont need a 1500 or evn a 1000w psu, just make sure it's a solid psu and it will be fine ( i alway's use corsair ) |
