WINDOWS POPUPS FIX

WHEN RUNNING BF3..YOU MIGHT GET THE THEME CHANGE POPUP..
HERE'S THE SIMPLE FIX FOR IT.


1. Browse to bf3.exe in your install directory (generally c:\program files (x86)\origin games\battlefield3\)
2. Right click on bf3.exe and go to Properties.
3. Under the Compatibility tab, check ON "Disable Desktop Composition."
SHOULD SORT IT.

BLACK SCREEN BETWEEN MAPS AND FREEZING.

Try going to your windows/syswow64 folder...

Set 'PnkBstrA.exe' and 'PnkBstrB.exe' to compatiblity mode for xp service pack 3.
Set to run as admin.

Sometimes just setting them to run as admin will work.


Seems to work.... not had one since i did this...touching wood.

One other thing you can try...is allow pb to talk to the desk top....

go to services.msc

pb a and b.
properties
log on tab... allow to interact with desk top.....apply.

Works for some as well.

BF3 perks and what they do..

Soldier Specializations

SPRNT - Gives the player lightweight load bearing equipment which reduces soldier fatigue and allows a higher sprint speed. This can be useful to get to cover faster when under fire. While sprinting, the player cannot use weapons or gadgets.

AMMO - Allow a player to carry an increased amount of ammunition for their weapons through additional MOLLE tactical ammunition pouches.

FLAK - Reduces the damage taken from explosives and shrapnel by providing additonal coverage to high risk body parts. It will not, however, protect against direct hits.

EXPL - Gives the user an EOD vest that increases the total amount of explosive and rocket ammunition. The solo specialization is unlocked around rank 10, while the squad specialization is awarded after SQD FLAK.

COVR - The combined effect of field experience and advanced training reduces the suppressive effect of incoming rounds.


SUPR - Increases the effect of Suppressive Fire on targeted players. It counters the COVR specialization, but currently has an unknown effect on players using other specializations. The solo specialization is awarded at rank 17, and the squad variant (SQD SUPR) is awarded after SQD COVR.

FRAG - Increases the player's grenade count. The solo specialization is unlocked at rank 20, while the squad variant (SQD FRAG) is unlocked after SQD SUPR.



SQD SPRNT - Every member in the user's squad, including the user, sprints faster.


SQD AMMO - Increases ammo for the entire squad.


SQD FLAK - Same as Flak above, but increases for the entire squad.


SQD EXPL - Same as EXPL above, but increases for the entire squad.


SQD COVR - Same as COVR above, but increases for the entire squad.


SQD SUPR - Same as SUPR above, but increases for the entire squad.


SQD FRAG - Same as FRAG above, but increases for the entire squad.
