Ok... so I done what you have just seen in the topic because I'm trying to get Partition Magic 8 to create a new NTFS Primary Partition to play around with Vista, and I get this half way through. "Error 1531". I've done my reasearch, read about and I'm told to do that.
CHKDSK C: /F seems to have messed my OS up, not to it's unusable extent, but I haven't had the chance to use it much since I done the chkdsk...
First problem noted is that I can't just double click on my images to open them and secondly I can't resize the taskbar "Quicklaunch" items and I also don't see ANY of my current open tasks, I'm having to use the ALT+Tab Method (also I have disabled any toolbars on the start bar and this problem still persist).
Anyone else had this really annoying problem? If so please state and if anyone has any idea's about how to fix this (Short of System Restore which doesn't work either now) or formatting. Formatting is hopefully going to be my last choice on methods.
Thanks in advance. Kimck 098

I think I'll just install Vista over Win XP and create a partition beforehand to install windows XP to again. At least that way I can play with Vista and still have a reliable copy on my HDD. ^ ^;
