for some reason compact flash cards have become really slow at copying onto the pc.. but only on my pc, works fine on any other pc with the same card reader, takes about 15 seconds to copy one picutre instead of 3 ish seconds that it normally took, and often freezes.
Can't find anything on google.

Nope both usb 2.0, the Card reader used to work fine, but has suddenly stopped working..

Check the USB settings in bios, sometimes theres a setting that limits it to v1 instead of v2.

checked.
its got so slow that it just crashes when reading cards now!
i wouldnt be too botherd, but my dads a semi photographer and hasnt been able to take photos for about 2 week now.
