 Post subject: help me with virtualdub

i made a demo and i used startmovie to get all of the frames then i load it up in virtualdub then when i click save as avi the sound gets added but its not in sync with my demo. is there a way i could fix this?

Make sure the frame rate of the video is the same as for the audio file?

try saving it as a wmv instead

Theres a tutorial on the net and it explains what to do with the audio file.

Cant remember where i got it but its out there somewhere.

Check the frame rate being used in VirtualDub is the same as the frame rate you used when recording the TGA's in the game. You can set the framerate in CS:S using the 'host_framerate' command in the console.
As long as they both match up the video should play back at the right speed for the sound... however the sound may not be perfectly in time with the video (no idea why, just another Source 'feature'), you may need to fiddle with the timing of the playback to get it just right.. :wink:

i used sony vegas, all i had to do was move the audio clip over a bit
