I chucked vista on my 8800 and it seems to work fine. Haven't had time to try any games yet though.

Still a complete debacle from nvidia though. 'Official' drivers but with a caveat of beta for 8800 cards. balls up and a half

they didn't have that motherboard anymore but because prices on some of the other parts were lower than on their site, i'm now getting a better motherboard instead :D (for the same total price)

as far as I can tell with the C2D chips they do this - make the same chip for all of them. That way, for the 6300 and 6400 they pick all the chips which have a bit of dud l2 memory, and make them 2mb cache chips, instead of 4 (like why sony only have 7SPEs, they have a redundent one).....and they are all clocked the same but with different multipliers, so the better quality they are, the higher they are clocked....
