 Post subject: Connecting Hi-Fi Speakers
Post Posted: Mon Apr 17, 2006 12:44 pm
I just recently acquired a pair of Hi-Fi speakers and was wondering if it is possible to connect them to the computer? At the back of the speakers a wire is split into two and goes into a red and black socket. At the other end of the wire its been split and has the cable exposed.

Sorry, I'm a total noob lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ITs probably "techincally" possible to connect them speaker up but im not sure what sort of sound your gonna get out of them as they will be un amplified like normal pc speakers are.

Its probably better to get the stero, wire the speakers up to it and use the line in on your stero. :)

Ah I forgot to mention that. I have the stereo system, and the speakers are connected to that. What sort of wire would I need to connect the stereo to the computer?

Thank you so much btw mate.

You can get em at pretty much any music/electric store.
