I was hoping someone might be able to explain why it is that on my previous laptop I had the option to play css in screen resolution 1280 * 800 and on my newer one, which has a slightly better graphics card only gives me the option to play in 1024 * 768? Also is it possible to change this so that I can once again play in 1280 * 800, because I definately prefer it like that.

Thanks.

PP

Sounds like a noob question, but is the aspect ratio of the TFT the same as before?

1280 x 800 is widescreen, if you have a "normal" screen, you won't get that option

Yeh I think so, its 4:3 I believe. Also to answer 3jorn it runs as 1280 * 800 when its not in game and is a widescreen.

Ok. Not entirely sure, but you may be able to force CS:S to run at certain resolution by using a command line parameter in the shortcut.

Dig about on google you might find it ;)

It was the aspect ratio that was the problem, I had obviously ignored it in my rush to start playing css again :D
