Ok i only need help with this because i cant test my map on SDK hammer



i have custon skins on my css...(and a scary thing is i play better with some of them)

when i try and join some other servers it says the consitancy of my guns are wrong ....which is far enough

The GCHQ servers consistancy was 1.......but i can join no problems with my custom guns....so why can i join GCHQ but not some others


also when i test my map it loads up and says consistancy of (blah blah) is not right

i go to console type consistancy 0 and then retry....but then its loads past my guns and when im about to join it says client timed out .....



so what i want to know is...how do i go about gettin my orignal guns back because it will take forever tryin to find all my models and deleting them

why can i join GCHQ and not some others

and (SDKs only) whats then thing u need to type here

try sv_consistency and check your config for any hardsetting of this on your client side, that might be causing it to fail even when you try it on your own.

As for the timeout, I get that too. It just means that your steam ticket didn't get validated in time

1 Have you tried running the compile checking the 'Don't run the game after compiling' checkbox

2 Dont know much about custom skins, used them a few times but then valve started enforcing consistency as you say and just removed them by taking any modified gun folders out of the models folder i think. The originals arent stored here.

3 Did you set sv_cheats 1 before consitency

well i would do what bjorn said but i dont know much about all the other settings.....no i didnt do the sv_cheat thing...it compiles and then it loads up CSS and the console and its starts loadin everythin then it says failed to connect consistancy of (blah blah) normaly if i type sv_consistany 0
it loads up when i retry...thats why i think it may the last question to solve my problem......what goes in the additional gaming para...because u put *something lan* in there and it stops people joining....because iv never timed out before..i dont know what causes things to time out and i dont undertand either also i have loads of skins so is there away of deleting them all and then do something in steam to seach your folders and replac the missin 1s...validating i think its call noy sure th could be totally wrong

W00T i thought so.....cheers DA...once i put that in the gaming para it come up with the consitancy thing but i typed Sv_consistany 0 and it works fine..before it used to make me time out........i think its cos its tryin to play it online or something im not sure

if you have installed 3rd party content for skins, wepons etc. delete your cstrike folder and restart the game. this will remove your settings AND MAPS.

So firstly backup your maps folder and if you want your configs.
