Ok whenever I try to switch my computer off, its in fact restarting the computer. I have no idea why its doing this. It remains off for a brief second and then restarts. I tried taking the battery out and then turning it off and taking the power cable out when it was actually turned off for a second, and it didn't restart when I connected it back up to the power.
It hasn't come up with any errors/blue screens/crashes, just suddenly decided it didn't want to turn off?!

lol
will it turn off if you just press the power button?
try poking around in bios...
also, try and get a free trial of system mechanic 6 or free full version system mechanic 4, thatll fix most problems on your PC

You can set up the power button to do different things. Check control panel>power options>advanced

Mine used to do that, a few random times. No idea how I sorted it though, was last year.

Can be a couple of things, Firstly it could be the Power Supply (Has been difficult sometimes to start it) and secondly it may be temps (Get the vacume in the and *carefully* clean around the fans etc.

hmm thanks Natt. I'm guessing my problem might be to do with the Roxio thing I'm running. Although I have a much newer version that the one thats supposed to be causing the problem. Also some of the Roxio files seem to be corrupted and its asking me to reinstall. However, when they sent me my new laptop they didn't send me any back-up disks with Roxio on it, so I guess I'm gonna have to give evesham a call and ask them to sort it.
