I had this whilst on a surf map on fun nite. I was in noclip (spectator) and went through a wall watching some one. CS just closed completly. I reckon It's just what it says, too many vertexes (corners) on screen at one time. I mean those maps arn't detailed, but they're massive.

Just want a second opinion :)

Please excuse the mess

lol at your destop chaos! With steam problems I've found the best thing is to check out the support website, as they have a well organised list of previous problems that have occured. If you can't be bothered to look through those though I'd try deleting the clientregistry.blob file and rebooting as that seems to solve everything :D

being a custom map they'd prob tell you it ain;t their problem.

I wouldn't make a big deal out of it, I must have seen 100 different error messages myself...

32768 is the size of a short int, whoever programed that section of the engine never expected that particular variable to ever have to store a value that large.

Since you got that error it means that the developers should of used a larger variable, as indicated by the more helpeful then usual error message.

Ive had that twice in 2 years. I wouldnt worry about it too much unless it appears very frequently.

Nice thinking through the problem there nemo :D

Thanks. The message looked like one left in from beta testing. I mean, I don't know that many HL2 programmers :)

That was the fun nite, and I had to download all the maps manually. And I just reinstalled CS, so I was reinstalling all my custom skins. Saying that, I think i am obsessed :P
