XP Pro media Center and...

Halflife, CSS, DODS all installed fine but when you start them to play they begin to start then just shut down, no error msg's or nothing

really wish I didnt upgrade :(

anyone else have any problems?

Media center is just XP Pro, that have a new skin, and some added functionallity. So it's most likely not because of the OS.

GFX card driver issue maybe? have you updated atall?

if your using an ATI card then try using the 'hacked/modified' drivers available from omegadrivers. i can send you the drivers and the modding tool if you are.

otherwise just try upgrading them from you card manufacturers website

thanks guys, I did manage to get it working, a re-install of direct x 9C did the trick

many hours and XP MC is Poo :(
