switched my pc on today to be greeted with a monitor saying
'You do not own a genuine copy of windows XP'

please cum n pay alot of money to mr bill so we can be a little bit richer

so can ne help me with sumat to get rid of it coz its in my taskbar now and starting to annoy me

hmm, well first of all, is it genuine? or is it cracked?

also, did you download a windows update that validates your version of windows to see if it is genuine and cant be removed? if so you fell for that 1

I also have the message.... but i own a copy of xp (tho its not on the pc atm, i had misplaced the disk when setting up my new pc)


if you right click the icon at the bottom, you can change validation settings. You can deactivate the alerts but then you will not get any more updates, even if its 'urgent' or whatever. I don't know what else you could do....

well actually i do, get a 'real' copy of windows maybe.
