Post subject: | Logitech G7 Questions |
Hey Guy's, Following advise from you guys on the server I have now got a Logitech G7 Mouse (As well as the G5 that I got in error ) the problem I have is that I cant assign any buttons on the CSS options. I mean I have the basic fire and Alt fire but I cant assign the other button functions etc. How do you guys do it...I am lost and with the added bonus of not being able to find the css game server I can't even try the mouse out Thanks In advance |

hi mate, I believe you have to assign the buttons to be a letter then config that letter in game to do something, its done using the setpoint software. this topic may give some pointers. ( http://logitech-en-emea.custhelp.com/cg ... _topview=1 ) GL |

The only 'extra' button I use as a CSS button is the thumb one. (quick switch weapons). For that I just assigned it in the normal way via CSS options selecting the action etc. Or... Here's where I start getting outta my depth..... There's the 'Select Program' bit in the 'Set Point' software. From what I'm guessing having never used it personally.... is you can set the mouse to have different configs to diff progs. So you could set up a CSS profile, and set the (extra) buttons you want to use to keystrokes. Then should just be able to set them in CSS in the normal way. Hope that helps. |

i had no problems, but i did set up the mouse to just use the same settings for all games/applications in the logitech software. one usefull feature is that you can set up different sensivities in the software, then you can switch between them on the fly with just a mouse click. and the leds on the mouse tell you which sensitivity you are using at the time, |

Anyone know of a work around to get the thumb button to work for Vent whilst playing CSS. It seems that CSS gains focus of the button and even though I set it up so that no function is assigned to it in CSS and the thumb button assigned to push to talk for vent it wont work. As Ish was saying you have to add a program in this case hl2.exe through manage programs. Just naviagte to your hl2.exe folder. |
