Post subject:  help me....i'm melting

ok well my brain is :(
i will try to explain this as best as i can though i'm a complete pc noob...

for the last couple of weeks my pc has been crashing every half hour or so when im playing online, first it kicks me back to desktop and get the usual message;bf1942 has encountered an error and needs to close..blah blah blah.then after a while i just get kicked back to the bios screen.
thought it might be graphix card so updated drivers, the b/f took pc apart and cleaned all fans etc, still same prob so uninstalled/reinstalled bf +patches, ran virus scan(no probs) but i still get same problem.
now my pc crashes sometimes even when on internet !!!

does anyone have any suggestions ? i'd be grateful for any :D before i do a complete reinstall of windows...thanx

Cleaning fans, made the trick for me.
You could have made the fans even worse, by cleaning them, if you did it wrong.

Ok... now you might not think about this... but when you use a hovver to clean your compy... whats it made of...? Plastic... doesn't plastic usually store static depending on it's type of plastic? If so you can ruin several things especially RAM!

I always make sure that I earth the hovver before using it. Also you could have damaged and not cleaned accidently without knowing it. I've done it before... usually fans mess up because they don't usually spin as fast as the hovver sucks at or something > <
