 Post subject: memory (RAM) help please

okay guys so heres the deal, i have 1 stick of 1gb ocz memory and im looking to get the egzact same stick again so thus to make it run 2gb in dual channel mode, but today i looked for the exact same serial number and the operating frequency's are different:

Thats a screen shot from my computer note that it says 200mhz

this is what i get when i search for the same stick everywhere

now that says 400mhz, so im really confused.

has my computer underclocked my memory
or
has the module just been upgraded (i bought my stick about 9 months ago)

Also on my System properties screen its only saying i have 960MB of RAM

:?

Any help would be much apricated

DDR = Double Data Rate

200 MHz = DDR 400

It's fine :)

Location: Bonneville salt flats.
Try reading some over clocking guides this will teach you all kinds of different clocks and multipliers, they are dozens across platforms, worth learning though.

I'd be interested if its really worth it without stressing/overheating my system...

It does with fear and oblivion on my system as the sli cards take more cpu grunt to keep the cards saturated, It really varies though depending on lots of things.

Depends on what you use your PC for.

Extreme gaming and you will begin seeing a difference. The overclock on my A64 has made everything faster and it canes video encoding now.
