Bought a nice shiney new LG1740PQ from scan, plugged it into my laptop (vga) and urgh theres four dead (black on every colour) pixels.

Sent it back to scan, they say only one dead red pixel.

What do i do now?

when did you buy it - you have 7 working days from delivery in which you can just cancel the order.

The monitor may well be within the manufacturers specification for pixel faults, and you'll be stuck with it otherwise.

Well, I think most warranties only cover after 6 dead pixels anyway :|

it's usually an unpublished specification, the screen is zoned into various areas, each zone is allowed a certain number of black/white pixels.

Personally, I'd just return it for a refund, even with one dead pixel.

You can do this even if the goods are perfect, unless it was a business to business sale.
Even better if they paid to collect it first

I'll probs just take it back of scan (on the basis that if i don't i'll get a factory refurbished one), and if it still doesn't work i'll return it to LG.
