On a comp thats already connected to the router goto> Start > Run, then type cmd then ok, when the box pops up type: ipconfig/all it will then list your ip's, subnet, Gateway and DNS. |

i assume you are connected to the internet now by another modem ? if so make sure it is disconnected when the otherone is connected. |

hey mate Make sure you got all the seucirty anf configurations options set correctly. Typical settings for ADSL in the UK are as follows: VPI = 0, VCI = 38 ADSL Modulation Auto, then try G.DMT, then try ANSI T1.413 Encapsulation Mode PPP over ATM (PPPoA - RFC2364) VC-MUX Authentication CHAP Then obvisouly u will need ur bt username/pass and that should be it on the router. Connect ur pc to the router with a network cable and auto assign the ip, hopefully if everything is done right you should be connected to the net. Once we get you to that stage i can show you wireless secuirty etc |
