when i turn my pc on,,it comes up with pchnotify.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close,,any ideas what this is :?:

its a HP/Compaq support program.

You will be easier off disabling it



Click Start, click Run, type in MSCONFIG and press enter.
Press the Startup Tab (top right)
Look for a couple of PCH**** entries, untick them and reboot.
You will get a warning that you have disabled some startup icons, tick the box to ignore it from then on.
