If i open my videos in windows explorer, it crashes the computer.....if i open it through firefox, its fine.....

I transferred all my videos from my old computer using an FTP server, and have only just tried to watch some of them. Never had a problem like it before...

would a reformat be the best option? seeming to have a lot of sys errors recently/decided to spam this section of the forum for a change

When you say crashes in 'win exp' do you mean IE instead or do you mean when say opening my computer and trying to access them, all you get is a blank win exp crash and the vids dont appear (or do they and do they crash the system before opening the files?)

it starts loading icons, then just stops.....

i can access the files just fine via firefox, and i can view the icons fine through open dialogues, its just opening my vidoes that buggers it all up
