I have tried to reconnect with gchq server, after our ban which was set at 1440 minutes (this can be seen in blackstone's first post above) ie 24 hours. but it seems the ban was extended? I was wondering what maybe the reason for this? Since I quote para: "if you come back and everything is fine then play away, if it is the same then you will be banned again (for longer)." We havent been given this trial period? Dont know how to do the proper quoting thing but when para said "Consider that the changes you've made haven't fixed it ? Wireless is a big cause for this, but it would be narrow minded to think it was the only one." I may be narrow minded of us as it were cos we dont know as much about computers as you do para or many others on here. You guys told us to play using an ethernet connection because we were warping too much. The when jedi and 30f5 gave me a severe warining a few nights ago i decided to move my computer to connect directly to our router. Then we carry on playing and we do not experience warping much at all from our end so we think everything is fine. We have a reasonably new microfilter with decent internet. Then you ban us out of the blue. Since we believed we had sorted problem we felt it was very harsh and injust. This is what we do not understand. I do not feel I can convey how we feel much more clearly than that? I hope we can play with you guys soon Isambar & Blackstone PS Myx how do we do that? "Blackstone, maybe just try a tracert and post the log here so we can have a look?" |

Start button, run, CMD, Return. In the command window type : tracert cs.gamecommunity.co.uk > c:\cstracert.txt then ping -n 150 cs.gamecommunity.co.uk > c:\csping.txt then type EXIT to close the command window Open the two files created and copy / paste the contents in here (preferably using the code option above). |

The tracert is fine, it shows that there are no obvious routing issues, the extended ping test will be a good indication of stability along the way though... Are you sure you put the 150 in? |
