i use outlook express, very easy to use and i like it

at home and some other places i can receive and send emails without any probs

but

at my GF's place, i can only receive emails and not send any, i always get server error crap

back home everything works fine


she has a router, no firewall thing, all ports opened

so any friendly advice would be nice

What provider are you using? Can't you use web mail? Does the outgoing server need SMTP authentication? :D

meh teh problem only occurs wireless, its gone when i plug in my notebook

if i open my webmail account i can sen mails without any issue, only not when using outlook exp


provider: skynet adsl
error: blablabla server connection error

from there point of view your trying to relay so they block it
thats because your connecting from a external network and there is no way to authenticate you unless they use AMS , webmail will work because its on there system :)
receiving mail is np , its the sending

not unless they have a authenticated mail system no - from a sys admin point of view its working perfectly there end
