Mike at a slight hunch I would say your power supply is not up to the job. The card you have says MINIMUM 400W, rememeber you are running ur processor, motherboard, hdds etc on the rest of the power.

When you play games i believe its crashing because the graphics card is sucking more power from the psu which it just cant deliver and so it trips the card out (hence the blue screens)

Remember those HEX codes could be reffering to memory and processor errors on the graphics card (because its corrupts when it doesnt get enough power)

I would say go and get yourself at least a 500W PSU by someone like ENERMAX (I use these never had a problem once) (http://www.enermax.co.uk/products/psu/l ... /index.asp)and see if this solves the problem. This may sound patronising but you have plugged in the relevant PCI-E power and Processor power?

EDIT If this doesnt fix it, send the PSU back then RMA the graphics card and get a new one of those. Thats pretty much the only thing I can think of

so i have noticed another thing to consider worrying about with my new pc i have seen it randomly restart without prompting me twice, very fast, no windows shutting down, no prompting, no blue screen. once when i was playing TR legend, another time i was just browsing the forum thing is i don't know why most people may say psu or temperature, but quite a few people have said my psu should be fine for my rig, even taking into account that new high-power video cards recommended minimum is that the psu can handle +12V is 26A, and for sli 35A If it were a heat or voltage issue i believe my mobo would let me know by beeping, but i havent had that prior to the crashes So i have decided to disable the auto restart in recovery options in control panel > system, see if i get a blue screen if it happens again... but has anyone got any other ideas of what might be causing it? I also dont think it was a power cut as the t.v. or lights didnt go out. my specs ABIT KN9 SLI, nForce 570 SLI,Socket-AM2, DDR2, 2XGbLAN, Firewire, ATX, 2xPCI-Ex16 AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4GHz Socket AM2, 512KB, BOXED w/fan Antec Sonata II Miditower, Black w/450W PSU Corsair TWIN2X 5400 DDR2, 2048MB PC5400 Kit w/two matched CM2X1024-5400C4 Dimm's NEC DVDÂ±RW burner, ND-3550A, 16x, Dual, Black OEM Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM XFX GeForce 7900GT 256MB DDR3 PCIE Dual DVI

I had that as well, alot of dust had got everywhere, when it was cleaned out then problem had gone away. biggest issues was BF2 and HL2 GFX hungry applications.

0xC00000005 0x8053CPC0 0x8CZ95CF0 0x00000000 Ok so i had another blue screen when i tried to launch a game application with mentioned hex above since then i have just burned and ran the windows memory test AND Memtest86.iso Neither of which have detected Errors.... Yet the hex blue screen code suggests Ram and Processors errors? The memory test is supposed to detect mobo, processor and Ram i think...so i really don't know what the problem is will keep eye out for further errors :/

i checked the temperatures...All seem fine 28 degrees CPU 34 degrees system 36 degrees PWM ..warning levels are 2-3 x those values.. voltage also fine.. fans fine..

I must admit I have no idea on this one. I once noticed my cpu temp was about 85 and rising fast, then remembered to turn on my water pump, Lucky for me after bootup the temp monitor pops up as a warning. Still there was no rebooting or blue screens, I guess if I had run an app it may be different but I gotta say this doesn't seem like overheating. When I OC too much, benchies just hang but never reboot. Have you done any overclocking, If so did you remember to lower the HT multiplier (5X -> 4X)? If the HT runs much over 1000MHz it can cause "problems", Sorry dude no idea.

no overclocking only tweak i have done is Adding more Virtual memory using HDD, apparently this is better for the ram, and prevents damage etc.

make sure the reset button isn't shorting, or the connection on the motherboard - very unlikely, but possible. Also, reinstall windows gotta be worth a try

Thats pretty much the only thing I can think of ever defending that PSU...but me and mike have essentially same specs - cept he has faster CPU and 2x ram, and mine has faster GPU, but it runs absolutley fine...
