what i dont understand is how it's marketed as a gamers board when it does nothing but cause problems for gamers with the usb lockups and in game problems, overclocking inability..

confirms problems i have been posting about

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2006/0 ... ard/1.html

waiting for my RMA replacement which will be a while yet i think
am considering flogging the board on ebay when i get it back, then getting a different model...ideally that is what would happen but i don't reckon it will

Why did you buy it before checking FAQs and problems with it?

i have the 8an-sli and never had any real problems with it, only issue was the chipset fan can be a bit loud but a bit of switch cleaner sorted it

Had a few Asus boards now, this pc is running on one, always thought they were pretty good boards.

without sounding rude, but have you considered your reletive noobiness when taking into account all issues ? I do remember you mentioning a cabel you werent sure of what it did, yet you had it connected somewhere anyway (potentially a board killer, reverse currents etc).
