 Post subject: Program to log your net connection uptime/downtime

Are they any simple progs that can check your net connection and log it, eg check every minute to see if its still up? Just so you got a log of the uptime over a week...

hmm - what you want is only a small bit of a network monitor priogram.

http://www.tallsoft.com/pingmonitor_setup.exe

something like a ping monitor may do it, you'll need to ping a device at your ISP to monitor uptime though.

Yep thanks, that put me on the right tracks... Just need to work out how to set it up so it only records when the connection goes down and then back up again.. there also seem to be quite a few free basic ping monitors that do logging.. think the word ping is the operative word that I didn't use in the first place when searching on google... :roll:

Time to leave my computer on for a week now and see th up time at the end of the week.. :?
