i just had a heavy lightning storm near me... thank fook i unplugged my pc and t.v. when i could hear it sparking ground near me

maybe the keyboard not responding at boot is a fixable problem by flashing your bios to the newest version, have a look at the Website for your board

mobo sounds knackad tho .. Send it off to be RMA'd... which will take ages
is it ABIT btw? no UK outlets here so it goes to the retailer engineers instead

shame they don't do cross exchange aswell over here, they do it in the usa

You can reset the bios by taking out the battery for a few minutes and it will reload defaults. Might be useful in sorting out a borked BIOS. You can flash the BIOS without going into Windows using a 3.5 disk depending on your motherboard

mike showed me that, but it seemed to be dependant on using the keyboard...
