Hi gaz ..... it wasnt something that was being done it hangs at random
or just turns its self off

hmm - the only bit I can think that may use a certificate will be gems, unless you have a secure mail server as well.

Do ASM support you - if so hassle them lol

are there any messages just before it in the app and sys logs?

Is that Windows 2000? Oh god, my eyes. THAT is the problem!

Anyways. Make sure that the server is completely updated with the newest servicepacks(For windows 2000, i guess you need servicepack 666).
