Really? the stats I've seen give a speed improvement anywhere from 52% - 92% over the X1950XTX |

The review on Anandtech reckons an 8800GTX is faster than a Quad SLI rig at DX9 |

At £490 I'd hope it was best tbh lol. http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/spec ... ?XFX-88GTX It doesn't support any OS lower than XP too, thats a nice touch , cant stand anything below it anyway. |

the 88000gtx does look mighty tempting, though i think ill wait till the obvious 8900gtx is out, be cheaper and cooler (heatwise ), less bugs in drivers etc by then. |

I'll be sticking with my 7900 until a actual DX10 game comes out /when I get vista. Besides ive only just bought it . By the time proper DX10 games are out (crysis ), Geforce 8 cards are going to be much cheaper anyway. As for brands, normally you just pay for more features/pre-overclocking. A cheap brand normally can be overclocked quite alot with a decent aftermarket cooler. At the end of the day, if a game requires a 6600 say, it wont matter what brand it is. |
