Right, i bought a new SATA II HD for my computer with the intention to use it as my primary drive and then use my existing IDE HD to store music, pics and videos and stuff.

My SATA HD

My IDE HD
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... =HD-108-WD

My Mobo is a Gigabyte P4 Titan its SATA compatible (but not SATA II).

I connected up my new SATA HD and ran Seagate's Diskwizard app that copied my files accross from the IDE to the SATA drives.

When that had finished it instructed me to change my IDE drive from the primary to the secondary controller, and my SATA drive from secondary controller to primary controller.

I have not changed the jumper block on my IDE drive yet but i'm mainly just checking to see if this is all that i have to do or is there some other important thing that i'm missing in order to do the above? I cant seem to find any of the above options in my BIOS!

Oh i have changed the IDE ribbon cable over to the grey connector (from the black). I hope this query isn't to Noobish for you all. Any help would be appreciated!

It should tell you on the hard drive where to put the jumpers.
You either want Master for SATA drive, Slave for IDE or
Cable Select (CS) for both if the ribbon cable is connected properly.
That's all you need to do.
