I ran CPU-Z on my new compy today and it said that the core speed was 1600Mhz

I'm running a Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13Ghz (Not overclocked) any idea what this means? It is it incorrect?

Also, I looked into Speedfan and my:

+12v = 0
-12v = 16.68

Wtf? lol

Also, is my fan really supposed to spin at 4000rpm? o.0

EDIT: another problem I've encountered is that my RAM is running at 400MHz when my motherboard supports 800MHz and the RAM is PC6400

Also it seems to be running in single channels rather than dual channels o.0

Any solutions that you guys know of?

the first part is because the cpu isn't being used fully so it slows down to lower the power input required ;) i'm guessing it's the same with the ram? :?

the memory running in single channel is probably because you put them right next to each other instead of in the same coloured slots ;)

(i did the same thing )

no idea about the 12v rail though :? :)

(oh and the fan, is it a constant running fan or is it controlled by the motherboard? if it's jacked into the psu directly it will normally just run at top speed while connecting it to the motherboard allows the speed to be adjusted to how much it has to cool)

:)

Nawww~ I connected the Zalman to the Motherboard, so it's using that S.M.A.R.T thingy...

Yeah, I put them right next to each other (I feel st00pid)

And I sorta watch the CPU-Z when under #load, yeah, it goes up to 2133.3MHz when underload (voltage goes up) but the RAM doesn't go up at all.

I was on the Vent server, they said I might have to up the buss speed to get it working. o.0

mine says 400mhz to.mine ram is also pc 6400/800mhz. is this normal or should it say 899 mhz?

cheers.

EDIT - just found this

ddr2 800 = 200mhz internal speed = 400mhz external speed = 800mhz DDR = pc2-6400
