Not me, but my friend spilt beer on his Macbook (lol!) and it now doesn't turn on. He left it open, upside down after it happened, but no joy now.

IIRC a few other people have done similar things  so can anyone remember how to fix it?

Depends if it was on when the beer got spilt and shorted something out. Otherwise your going to have to remove any residues. Beer does dry sticky.

Open it up and clean all the parts with distilled water , or possibly Isoclene (trade name for isopropyl). My dads got a spray can of the stuff, good because it evapourates quickly. Not sure if itll be safe to clean all the parts though, Although my dad does use it at work cleaning electrical contacts ect.

It might be too late. If it was on when the beer spilt all over it it might already be fecked.

One of my mates at work came home drunk one night and spewed on his - didnt work the next morning as it had shorted his motherboard. so the best bet is to go inside. unless it has a guarentee then just send it back as you wouldn't want to spoil it.
