i wondering if any of you guys know of a piece of software that will measure my hardware usage while running a program. I want to know what partof my system is under stress as i play the new command and conquer so i can upgrade the right to get the game running full speed ahead. i have a dual core pent d 920 2*2.8ghz 2gb ddr 533mhz ram ATi x850xt pro platinum 256mb all with latest drivers and xpsp2 etc |

http://www.passmark.com/products/pt.htm will do a thorough benchmark You could always just use performance manager (built into XP) That will so you disk queues, memory paging, cpu use etc etc |

Looking at your brief spec there i'd say the next thing on your list should be a graphics card, mind you saying that you might have a steam powered hard drive |

got a sata 2 300mbps 7200rpm 300gb HDD. so if i start running the game, then alt tab and run a benchmark while the game still running then go back to playing while it runs that would give me what i wanna know right? |
