ok ... at work we have many computers on the domain when we get new computers we move the old ones down the line and kill off the oldest ones
what happens is when we sometimes set up a new user on an old computer you cant use outlook .... it keeps trying to install it ... i have tried to uninstall and reinstall a new version but it keeps returning to the old version and then asking for the disk or just plane wont work ...
to get around this Ive been using outlook express but its become apparent that some progs use only outlook to send emails and wont work with outlook express ... so 2 questions
1 does the above make sense
2 how do i get around this
cheers Lem

If its XP log on to the pc with an admin account, then go to control panel, user accounts, and you should be able to see the account info there.

unfortunately you need to the install disc that came with outlook for each user.

Some of the needed files are on the disc alternatively you could copy the content of the disc on to a server and just share it.
